Compound miter saw suggestions

Looking to pick up a good little miter saw for under 2 bills. The first job I've got in mind is to replace the trim around the outside windows--just cutting some 1 x 2 furring strips which won't take much. Further down the road I can see using it for some interior moulding & trim pieces.

Any special things I should look for? I figure a 10" blade should work well enough, and I've seen several Craftsman models w/ Laser Trac systems for lining up the cut. Do these work worth a darn?

I like Rigid brand miter saws because they have a lifetime warranty and they are Home Depot's brand so you have a good shot of getting the unit replaced quickly.

If you can afford it, go up to the 12 inch. This way you won't be restricted down the road if you need to cut some 4x6 or anything like that.

Thanks for the tips. I ended up getting this 10" Craftsman.

At $200 it was right where I was looking to spend, has the dual laser sites, decent power & features, plus a stand.

I looked at the suggested Rigid as well as a DeWalt but would have been spending at least $100 more & I decided to pass on the extra expense at this time.

Plus I figure that if I'm hopefully using the 10" miter enough that I outgrow it then it will be easy for me to convince the wife to upgrade me down the road
