competative cooking

Do any of you compete in any cooking events? I've gone to the BBQ national championship in Meridian, Tx. the last couple of years and i have to admit, im getting the bug. i don't even cook much less BBQ but it looks like a blast traveling around huge grill, beer and family in toe. Plus you get to sample other folks BBQ and trade tips.

One of these days I'm absolutely going down to Terlingua (sp?) for their chili cookoff. I hear it can get a little wild down there!

Anyone involved in these types of competitions?

back in the original Iron Chef (Japanese version), Flay beat Morimoto and jumped up on the counter and gestured like an idiot in celebration. As you can imagine Morimoto wasn't too pleased. Of course now they're all chums and stuff.
