Comparing this year's team to last year's....

I realize that regardless of your opinion that we are DOOMED regarding the rest of the post season especially with the feared SEC being part of the mix.

With that said, is it fair to say that at the level of the play of this year's team the past 3 weeks that it might realistically be actually able to go further than last year?

Last year is such a blur I don't recall specifics of how our hitting, defense and pitching was in the conference and NCAA tournament. I jjust know we flamed out in Round Rock but can't remember if was due to any one deficiency or just got outplayed.

The talent is certianly here this year to make a run, but it just depends if they can step up and live up to the talent level.

I'll just say that a good run in the post-season this year will make up for the past two post-seasons disappointments, and heck this would be a great year to be the Cal St Fullerton of 04.

I just want us to get to a Super Regional.

That would be progress forward for this year, but more than a two year absence from Omaha for Texas is a slump.

Uh, no. The next thing you'll suggest is dogpiling after winning a regional. Hell No, we're Texas. Omaha is a minimum, national championships are the goal, nothing else. Let's see what this team is made of, on the road all the way!

In my opinon the strides this team has made sense day one. With all the griping and moaning that has gone on. And i do include myself in this. I feel it shows the character this team has shown to overcome all of this. And it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see this team going quite deep in the cws...

Well...I only hope either we can continue to produce 5 runs in the last three innings of every game or hope our starters can pitch complete games every day.

Because our bullpen is horrid.
