Community: The Most Clever, Brilliant Show on TV

I tend to dvr some shows and watch them back-to-back. I like Modern Family, Parks and Rec, How I Met Your Mother, etc.

I gotta say, Community is one of the all-time most clever and original shows I've ever seen in the half-hour sitcom format. It's just incredible: paint ball ala spaghetti western; clay-mation; dinners with Andre; deutchbags/power krauts/das butt; tossing dice into the air to predict the future (don't know what that's based on - a little help?).

It's must see tv.

I am consistently impressed by the writers of that show. The most creative, intelligent, and FUNNY show on TV.

Hate to disappoint you guys but its not being brought back for the spring. I love the show but it may be too smart for its own good. Hey at least Whitney will still be on.

Sometimes a fate like "Arrested Development" isn't the worst thing ever. Gives the show a fandom that's hard to top, and creates copycat shows that eliminate the crap like Whitney.

TV is just going to be one big reality show one day anyhow, so cherish moments with Community for now.

I would vote for Boss as best (most clever/brilliant), a show that got no run at all for some reason. But it has the best writing and acting on TV IMO. It's fabulous, although the subject material is not for everyone (hardball Chicago politics with little to no humor). The last 2 episodes left me with my mouth hanging open, which is not something I get from television very often. Boss just might be the best television show ever.

After that, the rest of my top 10 rankings are --
(2) Homeland
(3) Dexter
(4) Justifed
(5) Shameless
(6) House
(7) Game of Thrones
(8) Rubicon
(9) Fringe
(10) Walking Dead

I fully expect Kelsey Grammer and Claire Danes to win the Emmies for leads, and the guy who plays Boyd Crowder to win best-supporting actor (he's great). And perhaps Dexter's sister/ex-wife as female supporting -- she had a great role this season.

I think Whitney looks simply adorable, but her show, during the 5 minutes I watched it, was horrible. But at least she still has Two Broke Girls (or is that 2? I don't really care what it is).
