"Committed" lost all meaning to me after the last few months.

It's exciting to see all those 2016 players committing themselves to UT so early... but damn, until they sign and enroll, that means **** to me right now... 2016 will be another crazy recruiting year.

I wonder how this works, and if there is some obligation on the part of the university to give advanced notice or something. Like "if you don’t confirm by XX date then your spot may be filled."

With all the last-minute recruiting drama and uncertainty (if there actually is uncertainty with the coaches) it seems pretty crummy if a kid has been offered and then told sorry, we're out of spots, and he’s left hanging.

I think the QB decomitted last year because we decided to go spread instead of pro style offense but then again, I don't know Xs and Os very well
