The family and coaches also worked up a press release per Texas.247Sports.com

Here it is:

After much consideration and deliberation, Armanti Foreman has decided to join his brother D’Onta and commit to The University of Texas at Austin as the place he will further his student/athlete career after high school.

Armanti Foreman (known to many as simply “Money”), standout wide receiver and ESPN Top 150 player has decided to announce this verbal commitment at this time in order to concentrate on preparing for his senior season goals on and off the field. Armanti said one of the main reasons he has finalized his decision to attend this school was because it was important for he and his brother to continue their journey together as they liked pushing one another to succeed and compete. His mother was a huge part of his decision as she also was happy that her sons decided to make a joint decision. Armanti looks forward to coming in and making an instant impact on the field at wide receiver.

D’Onta Foreman is looking forward to join the stable of running backs at Texas and making a name for himself as well. Texas was appealing to him because it gave him an opportunity to play early. It was a place he was familiar with as he and his brother had attended several football camps over the years. It was important for D’Onta that his family to be able to make most of the games and see them play.

While both of the brothers have fielded offers from near and far, being close to home at a program as reputable as Texas was a win-win situation. The Foreman family would like to thank all other programs for their interest in D’Onta and Armanti. This decision was difficult, but this commitment is solid, as they are now both able to focus on personal improvements on the field and in the classroom. They both plan on leading the Stingaree team to their next State Championship title.

Coach Leland Surovik, 2nd year TC Stingaree football coach also had comments on the decision of two of his top players:

"The Texas City Football Team, coaches, and TCISD staff would like to congratulate Armanti and D'Onta Foreman on their commitment to play football for The University of Texas. Their accomplishments and success exemplify what it is to be a Stingaree and a product of Texas City ISD. During the past few years their performances have electrified the crowd and their teammates. It has been with joy and pride that I have watched these two young men and the athletic program grow. It is a blessing for them to be able to play at the next level. Their fans look forward to watching them play next year as Stingarees, and we all will enjoy supporting them in the future as Longhorns. Please join me as we wish D'Onte and Armanti good luck!" ~ Coach Surovik

What a classy way to make a commitment announcement, as opposed to playing the asinine hat game. Welcome to the forty acres Foreman brothers!

Their HC Leland Surovic was a very close friend of mine in college at SWT. To this day he is one of my favorite people to come through my life and the type of guy if I see him again it would be like I saw him yesterday. A true man built on respect.

I couldn't be happier for him to find out he is now the HC at a major HS program, and also has been grooming these future Horns into men and competitors. It will make a huge difference in their character, respect for the game/teammates, and burning will to succeed. Great news all around this morn.
