Everyone that was caught on tape throwing weapons into the crowd should be punished to the full extent of the law for assault and I suppose you could make it a hate crime even though I despise the label hate crime.
Having said that though, taking a sign yielding, bible chanting, christian gang to a muslim festival is pretty damn close to yelling FIRE in a theater. The "missionaries" as they called themselves, went with the intent of stimulating the crowd. I don't have much sympathy for these idiots but violence was uncalled for.
