I have questioned many of Augie's decisions this year, but there can be no defense for the bottom of the 9th. You take out the teams leading hitter, or one of them, for a guy that has done nothing all year and you let a guy hitting .200 and is 0-3 today stay in. Terrible.

These kids have played good enough to win tonight and if they don't it will be on our coach.

Augie didn't walk anyone or throw a wild pitch or make an error in the 11th. He may have made a curious move, but it is not all "on Augie".

Man I hate to see us lose again, especially like that.

i give osu tons of credit, but in tight games, the right moves need to be made and for the most part they haven't been this season. u tell me, pai or rupp?

We made the right move by bunting in the ninth. If the bunt was made successfully, we win the game. Game over.
Didn't get the bunt down, didn't score, started putting in pinch hitters, backfired all the way around.
Texas used to be able to make a simple sacrifice bunt, like Okie State did half an inning later.
We should have won the game by executing what Augie called for in the ninth, not an unreasonable expectation.
We fail to execute the most simple baseball plays. It doesn't matter who is calling the shots if the players can't bunt, swing at bad pitches, and boot routine balls all over the field.
I don't think Augie is teaching them to do those things.
