Don't freak out in response to this. It's not meant to blaspheme or imply anything of significance. We all know who Texas has played and that VY played Ohio St. in game two of 2005. But... I was curious so I put these #'s together. I just thought it was interesting and thought I'd share.
VY (2005) vs. CM (2008)
stats through first 4 games of season.
Passing
VY = 54/82 (66%) 780 Yds (9.5 per) 7 TD - 5 Int (161.7 Rating)
CM = 80/100 (80%) 1018 Yds (10.2 per) 14 TD - 1 Int (209.7 Rating)
Rushing
VY = 48 - 310 (6.5 Avg) - 2 TD
CM = 34 - 278 (8.2 Avg) - 4 TD
Regardless of however you adjust for weak competition, Colt is playing at a very high level. Here's to continued improvement and to a great next three games.
Oh, and in case you're curious. VY's numbers, excluding Ohio St. and extrapolating 3 game averages to 4 game projections.
Passing:
48/70.7(68%) - 680 Yds - 9.6 Per - 6.7 TD - 4 Int (168.6 Rating)
Rushing:
37.3 Attempts -312 Yds - 8.4 Avg - 2.7 TD
