Colt is starting today

Colt had a tremendous first half. 19 for 27 for 148 yards and a pretty TD pass to the back corner of the end zone and a couple of clutch scrambles

Playing an effective game to this point, mostly short throws, a few medium routes. Has hit the guys when they're open and thrown it away when not. Looks crisp and not at all rusty or anything. Not a lot spectacular but a quality outing especially considering they are getting nothing from their running game (barely over 30 yards, no run longer than 7 on the day so far).

Colt completed long pass down the sideline on a 4th and three to keep drive alive, and then Connor ran it in on next play. Cards up by two TDs again . . . Cards intercept Rams and eventually kick FG to lead by 17

I wish Colt was "THE" starting QB for The Cards and not the "Midget Murray" they think is hot snot. Can't stand that guy, and he has something like 9 straight home game losses going back to 2021. Don't know why they keep him.

:hookem: Colt with the win and all but guaranteeing another 7 figure payday for next season as a back up somewhere. Guy has hung around the NFL for over a decade, what an outstanding job!

In my experience at all levels from Pop Warner to NFL, most coaches are lazy. Once they make up their mind about a guy they do not change it. Ever. The NFL sees Colt as a backup and that is all they will ever see.

Guys on VSIN were saying this morning that the Cardinal organization clearly paid the big bucks to the wrong QB. They were gushing over Colt and his management of the game, even if it was against a sub-par Rams team playing a back-up...as they noted, the back-up wasn't playing on the defense.
