Different type of off-season goal takes Colt McCoy to Peru

Not shocked that Colt would do this. I could not say this enough but he is such an incredible and genuine human being. His ma and pa did a FANTASTIC job raising him. Same with his bud, Jordan Shipley and former roomie, Derek Lokey. Studs in the game of life.

After football I see Colt affecting peoples lives in a positive way and making the world a better place somehow. He will touch a lot of people in a positive manner.

No matter what Colt does on the field the rest of his life, no one can deny his character and his heart. A true Longhorn, and a badass person to boot. Here's a

for Colt McCoy.

Over/under on whether this story will make it to Brent M., the Gameday crew, or any other college football broadcast? We are in for a long year with this...I can see it now..."Colt attributes his maturity on the field to lessons he learned off the field this spring - he made a friend named Juan"

Loved the story, and the anecdote about the UT fan's restaurant there.
And I would like to see those two guys in red trot out on defense against OU.

I'm amazed at how Colt stays grounded. To take time off to spread the Gospel while most football players would be training (or partying) just says so much for him. I wish him the best in everything he does!

Yeah but TxHookem, they have vertical leaps of 5 feet.

What is great about this and Colt is that it is genuine. He practices and lives what he preaches. It is not a gimmick, it is not just something to do. He IS a good person and a good Christian. That combo is rare but to be cherished. And I am not even Christian but I still respect the hell out of him and people genuine and legit like him.

Yeah well..wait until he throws his first INT and people on here are bitching about he should've been training harder all summer instead of hanging out in Peru...

Rex, there are good people who are both religious and not religious. That has no impact on the football field, however. Maybe in the West Mall, not here.
