So it appears that the Fri/Sat/Sun Supers will kick-off CWS play next Saturday, then play again Monday ... the Sat/Sun/Mon Supers will be slated for Sun/Tuesday action in Omaha.

Just a heads up for those heading to Nebraska.

The #1, #4. #5, #8 Nat'l Seeds all have Supers Sat-Mon ... since they are slated for the same "bracket" in Omaha, it would make sense they'd get the extra day of rest and play on Sunday.

That's how it's worked the past few years.

I'm going to be careful not to jinx us...

So, the winner of the Austin Super Regional will play their first game in the CWS on Sunday, June 14th, at either 1pm or 6pm.

What Puddle means to say is that that winner of the Texas/TCU super regional would be on that schedule.

This makes me feel better, as I now will not have to drive all Friday night in order to make a possible 1:00pm Saturday game.

Well, that would suck because if we made it, I was going to fly up for a Saturday game.

In what universe are schedules made in the interests of the teams and/or the fans, rather than for television?

Each bracket has a first championship game Friday, with an if-needed second championship game Saturday. Short rest for the finals is only an issue if one bracket requires a second championship and the other does not, and in that case it is determined on the field, not by the schedulers.

For the first bracket championship games, one 2-0 team is scheduled to play Sat/Mon/Fri, the other Sun/Tue/Fri. There are advantages and disadvantages for each of those options.
