Anyone have any experience with cold smoking? I love the idea of getting a cold smoker and making my own lox (smoked salmon) and cold smoking a beef tenderloin and other things. However I know no one who has one or has ever used one and to buy or build is expensive.
I still haven't got off ground zero as wife, 2-1/2 year daughter and fishing have occuppied the vast majority of my free time but hopefully sometime soon. Like you said, home smoked trout, salmon and virtually any other fish is very appealing. I'd like to be the first to smoke some crappie fillets...mmmhh.
