What the hell? He was nails in the playoffs last year, but now he just gets hammered like a nail. What on earth is wrong with him??

TAG made a comment tonight about his fastball being around 87-88 early this year rather than 91-92 last year.

Unfortunately I think his performance in last year's playoffs guarantee his starting spot, but it would be nice to see a rotation of CJ, Tommy, Harrison, Holland, and Ugando when Tommy gets back. IMO Colby needs some bullpen work to get back up to form. Too many walks and home runs so far this season.

I was wondering the same thing...

it's obvious to me..... he had another kid, had to take paternity leave, and now he sucks. stop having kids!

this game sucks the fat one solely because the blue jays scored all 6 runs with 2 outs in the 5th inning. with only 1 runner on to begin with. just an avalanche.

sblazer, I didn't get to see most of the game because I was teaching English, but I checked the summary on AtBat2011 when I got home (bottom of 7). That inning was inexcusable.

Colby needs to go to the 'pen pronto. We can't afford to lose miserably every time it's his turn.

In one inning he totally lost command. He was wild in the strike zone.

I support moving him to the bullpen for a while just as soon as another starter is available.

It would be nice to have a veteran righty in the bullpen with three lefty's in the rotation, but sadly enough the Rangers have nobody better right now to pencil in as No 2. starter. Nobody in AAA looks ready right now to move up and take a rotation spot with Hurley and Scheppers hurt and Michael Kirkman stinking it up.

We need one of Hunter, Webb and Feldman to get well and start pitching effectively at the major league level in the rotation or long relief.
