Cokie Reed scored 26 points Monday night in Waco Midway’s bi-district playoff beating of Mesquite Poteet, 68-29. Reed, one of the top girl’s post players in the country, has already committed to Coach Gail Goestenkors and the Lady Longhorn basketball team. Burnt Orange Beat spoke Cokie Reed before the playoffs started to get her thoughts on Texas.

Nice that a new website is dedicating some time to our women's basketball recruiting.

They obviously need to get some facts straight though, like losing the "Lady" prior to "Longhorns", and realizing Cokie has already signed an LOI and isn't just "committed".

Still, so glad to get one of these websites to talk about Coach G's recruits!
