Cocoa Beach hotels

I have to go to Cocoa Beach, FL at the end of the month, and I'm trying to pick a hotel.

I'm a Hilton honk, so it's the Hilton or the Doubletree for me. Any opinions on which is better? Looks like the Hilton had a recent upgrade, but the accomodations at Doubletree sound better.

I've been burned by Doubletree before...some are nice, some look like the set of a 1970s movie.

i do day trips over to cocoa from orlando when i'm in town, never stayed over there. the doubletree is right next to the pier at cocoa beach, which is where there is some activity. the hilton is just a short walk down the beach and a little bit of a quieter location, and yes i think it has been upgraded a bit. i don't know of any big quality difference between the two, neither one is overly nice or terrible.

I've stayed at that Doubletree. Granted it was shortly after all those hurricanes blew over the area a few years ago but the rooms were still nice and it was right on the beach. I would definitely stay there again.
