Cockroach dogpile

"TCU is like cockroaches, its not so much what they eat as what they fall into and mess up" Darrell Royal, 1961 - as repeated by Bill Little during the game.

I actually have had good feeling about TCU, up until these games when they yelled during the Eyes.

And then all my good feelings about them vanished forever when they all headed straight for the Longhorn on the field for their dogpile.

It is their first rodeo, they have no class, I hope they lose.

And their coach is probably already thinking about what school he'll go to next.

Jesus, let it go, dude. This "dogpile watch" needs to end. It's more pathetic than the dogpiles to which so many seem to object.

TCU just booked its first trip to Omaha by taking a series from the program with the most history in Omaha, and TCU did it on that team's home field.

Let the Horned Frogs have their moment; they earned it.

They won fair and square, and they deserved to win, but I agree that dogpiling on our logo was chickenshit.

However, there is a pretty standard preventive -- just get some hits with runners on second and third.

I didn't notice at the time, I thought they were dogpiling out of the way of home plate so as not to rile up the home team players and fans, but I now see that it was a classless act. But no use dwelling on it, they haven't won much of note, and obviously were trying to unload 100 years of frustration on our logo. Whatever.
They deserved to win, but they don't need to show their *** afterwards.

The Frogs just beat one of the most prolific baseball programs in NCAA history on its home turf. The 'Horns have been to Omaha what, 32 times, and this will be the Frogs' 1st rodeo. The dogpile on the logo was in poor taste, but I'll let 'em have their fun--besides, what woud you expect from a bunch of cockroaches?

TCU won fair and square but to dogpile on the logo in short center field is classless and premeditated. It just takes away from the win they just accomplished. Dog pile on the mound like normal teams dont rub salt in the wounds.

I'd wager that no one was more disappointed/irritated/frustrated/depressed over losing to TCU than me, but let's not become whiny little babies over this. Give TCU - including Purke, Winkler, and any one else who contributed - their due. They sat with this same taste in their mouth that we have now for 365 days and got their payback.

I'm glad to see them going to Omaha - they are a damn good team. It just sucks it was at our expense. I've said plenty of times over the past couple weeks - they deserved a National seed and would have easily beat 2/3 of the teams in Supers this weekend. Unfortunately, with our bats disappearing at the worst time we might have lost to 2/3 of the other teams in the Supers.

As far as the dogpile, I don't know if it was as choreographed as some of you think it was. It's not like the ran out there and spiked the baseball or stomped their feet on the logo. It could have been just as much the plan to tackle Schultz (the CF'er) since that game is a lot different w/out his 2-run homer and over the shoulder catch on Tant's ball.

The sad truth is that our performance in the super regional and Big 12 tournament shows we were overrated. A great pitching staff with weak or inconsistent hitting won't win a national championship.

I wonder how many of these sad truth replies are from people that have sat in their seats at the Disch for 20+ years, how many are baseball fans and not just drive bys.
