Coach Stephen Ambrose Sarkisian.......Staff

More on Jeff Banks...TFB reporting that Sark and Texas made a "substantial" offer.

It'd be a lot of money to turn down and much more than he makes at Alabama, where his current salary is $725K.

Offensive staff is incredible. Now can we get out of that Louisiana home opener and replace it with as easy win like Nebraska or A&M? or maybe Houston Baptist...

He's out either way - most overrated player on the team. Don't think Sark will allow quitters to quit and then beg then to come back like Herman did..
I do not think he will handle them like Herman either, but what I do think is he will be just what some of these guys need and you're about to see some of these guys that have been viewed like this^^^^ flourish

If so, then that's on Brockermeyer. Leveraging his kids for his career doesn't sit well with me.

Oh yeah. It's always a bad idea to accept gravy trainers. Be they dads / relatives that you hire just to get those recruits to sign (which is probably a rules violation on both NCAA and state employment levels), or brothers or best friends of really good players, who want a package deal for both.

One of the best lines attributed to Barry S was "Son if you come here, we'll play for a national championship. If you don't, we'll still play for a national championships".

On a top tier program, you can't turn control of it over to relatives, recruits, or as we learned this year, players with motives other than football. The head coach needs to be the boss, and run things for the long term benefit of the program.

Such a bad *** quote.

It is. It shows that the head coach is running a top notch program, and it's not just a matter of "please please come here, we love you", it's "are you good enough to earn a spot on this caliber of team", and if not, we'll still be good.

Yep but once you get the top guys the culture can’t be okay now we can relax and just beat everyone. Still have to put in the work.

This is beginning to remind me of stories I have heard from multiple sources about Jim Mackenzie leaving Arkansas. He was an assistant to Frank Broyles in Fayetteville, and asked Coach Broyles if he would support him trying to get the HC job At OU. Coach Broyles said, "Yes, but only if you don't ask any of my assistants to go with you".

"Ask" was Coach Broyles mistake. All of the assistants asked MacKenzie if they could go. Thus, OU wound up with Mackenzie as HC, and assistants were Chuck Fairbanks, Barry Switzer, Bill Michael, Jerry Pettibone, among others. Every one of them I have ever talked to says Jim MacKenzie was the best coach they had ever met.

Hoping for similar results here.

Why the negative comments from Bama fans wrt Golding? Gave up 46 to Florida but they were young up front on D.

I'm just not impressed with Golding so far...but what do I know?
Looks like an underperforming D to me..
And why look at so many candidates and take so long if he is THE man?
In fact, it will be hard to not view just about anyone they hire at this point like that, but again....WDIK

Maybe “need” was the wrong choice of words. We do need some good linemen to run Sark’s offense. Seems our recruiting efforts there have not been great.
Yeah, it was just a quibble with your wording. We definitely need top shelf talent, and the Brocks possess that, but they aren't the only ones out there.
