On the Banks angle, someone confirmed that his stripper gf did make drastic changes to her social media pages (no longer has a bunch of roll tide stuff). And she now follows the Sark.

And Banks "liked" this tweet

On another related note....

AD's secretary: "Mr. Sarkisian, there's a young man on the line for you...says his name is Brandon or Brennan Eekles....or maybe Eagles? Something about wanting to know if it's too late to change his mind and come back for another year??"

Sarkisian- "Yeah, Jenny, Hey tell him I'd love to chat but I'm headed into an important meeting with my QB and receiver room. I'll try to get back with him, but it may be about 45...
...I mean 4 or 5.....
years. I'll be pretty busy. And, Jenny...please...It's Steve..or just Sark is fine...Thanks."

Here is the Tenn247 version on what is going on with Pruitt as of this moment in time, if interested
The short version of this is that it would cost Tenn ~ $13M (i think) just to fire him outright. They want him gone but that is too rich. Thus this cirsus-like reach for cause. Looks like they are trying to use this to force a lower buyout from him and are willing to shoot themselves in the face for the savings.

I believe Pruitt will be presented with all the findings of the investigation tomorrow. I believe he will be asked some tough questions. I believe if he lies or tries to cover anything up he will be fired with cause. If he tells the truth I believe he could still be fired or have a small chance of coming back depending on how severe those violations are. Based on things that I’ve heard, I do not believe he will survive this. I do not expect him to be fired right away unless he is ready to negotiate a buyout after the interview. There’s a lot of unknowns on how this meeting will go. What exactly do they present to him? How severe are the violations? How does he react? Does he lie? Etc.

I know I have been wrong on the timeline several times. That is because every time they get close to being done with this thing something new pops up and they have to follow up and look into it. There’s a reason they are interviewing Pruitt last. I do believe this is going to be wrapped up after tomorrow and a decision will be made no later than Sunday. Team meeting is Monday which is on par for starting the semester. I can’t imagine they let Pruitt do that meeting and fire him afterwards.

In the event he is fired, I believe Steele will be the interim coach. Yes Pruitt wanted him here and yes Pruitt hired him. Steele also understands the situation and what he was coming into as Chris Lowe explained today on the radio. Fulmer has done a phenomenal job holding this together with current players. Once this is all over I may go into more detail on some things. As of today based on what I think I know and have been told, I believe Pruitt has a 10% chance of surviving this. Nothing would shock me because it’s Tennessee. I think at this point with how badly Pruitt has been knee capped this offseason and how badly relationships have been damaged, it is best for Pruitt and the University to part ways. That’s JMO. Take it for what it’s worth. I can only tell you my opinion based off what I know. I’m ready for this to be over as I’m sure everyone is. Go Vols!

I agree...but funny you bring up TCU, because he had about a 26 yard beautiful reception and scamper a few plays before that to put us down there. He giveth and he taketh away.
I thought they should have brought RJ in when we got close on that drive...but apparently he was playing injured and they were managing him. Add it to the list of many key moments and factors that were the disappointing 2020 season.
Plus he was gassed and shouldn’t have been in there.

Blake Brockermeyer is an assistant high school coach. We should bring him on as a coach and then tell the twins to get packing.

Some people say this was the start of Blake's problems with the Tom. He tried to get in in some capacity and the Tom said "no."

TFB on the secondary --

On the matter of Gideon and Joseph, this is going to be something to watch. Based on what I’ve heard, it sounds like their respective roles may not have been entirely clear. Terry Joseph came to Texas as a passing game coordinator at Notre Dame. In other words, he runs the secondary and then will have help from a cornerbacks coach.

It sounds like Gideon was under the impression that he would be coaching both Special Teams and Safeties. But, a passing game coordinator coaches the safeties. And, Gideon wasn’t coaching safeties at Ole Miss.

So, I’m not exactly sure how this is going to play out. But as one source said, Terry Joseph isn’t coming to Texas just to coach cornerbacks. That’s a step back in his career and he’s considered too talented as a developer to go back to just being a corners coach.

Well obviously we could have used some help coaching the line. Hand was not exactly setting the world on fire. Plus we need those twins.
