Coach O and SEC basement competition

So there is speculation on the aggie boards that the reason that aggie gave jumbo a 9 million dollar contract and extension is because LSU wanted him! And speculation on the LSU board that coach O will be fired soon is because of inappropriate behavior w a student with pictures included (and because of losing to Auburn and competing w aggie for last place in the west).

Are we still sure going to the SEC is a good thing? BIG seems like a better choice.....

If Big Ed was only losing one game per year, he could boink the school president’s daughter on the quad, in broad daylight, and still keep his job.

:lsu:

If they fire Big Ed, Napier is a guy they should take a hard look at.

I think they beat the ags. You can’t beat decent teams with terrible QB play.

Chop,

Kiffin's agent is already spending the money from the bidding war for his client

1) FSU
2) the convicts
3) LSU

Aggies are praying that the rumors of Jimbo to Baton Rouge are true, then they'll bid for Kiffin.

With the amount of guaranteed money still owed to Fisher, he won't walk away, he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Ten years ago I was hoping we'd jump to the b1g. It's a better fit academically. Strength of conferences will go up and down but b1g offers us a lot more overall

WB,

Aggies gave Fisher a new contract with no buyout clause if he leaves.

Between that omission and the omission of their right to block any Texas team from entering the SEC, I certainly hope their attorney didn't graduate from our law school.

Why would he leave? Its guaranteed money.

Speaking of the SEC (West) Basement, here's one projection of how it will shake out this year:

Top to bottom SEC West:

Alabama*
Arkansas*
Auburn*
Miss State
Ole Miss
LSU
Texas A&M

*that's a lot of "A" teams up top

Texas A&M is Milton in video below:

On the video...Milton's final words..."I think you have my stapler"...HAR HAR HAR. Priceless. Substitute "stapler" for "jiz jar"...it's aggy 1000%.

College teams are really dependent on quarterback performance that exceeds what we used to expect from college player. Watching what is happening to talented well-coached teams at A&M, Clemson and Wisconsin is instructive.

Indeed. We should recruit, portal, etc. plenty of good back up QBs in waiting. It's worth 1-2 fewer TEs on the roster. The now legal payments of $$$$ to players for NIL may keep them around even though they're not starting. I personally favor the "dual-threat" style of QB--one starting and 2-3 good ones backing him up.

The ags better recruit some former high school QB from their intramural sports fields flag football games to finish off this year.

In this day and age, unless you’re Alabama, you can’t stock up on good QBs. As soon as QB1 is named, QB2 and QB3 are going portal shopping. I’d say we’re fortunate to have Card as QB2 but who knows how long he stays.

It will be interesting to see what happens at Ohio State where the have recruited multiple highly rated recruits at that position all in first or second year of eligibility. Joe Burrough was once a benchwarmer there.

Seeing as how we'll be LSU's fellow conference member, may I suggest a really good coach like Charlie Strong or Tom Herman for them?

That Southlake kid…. No way he doesn’t transfer in 2 years

OR...what if he DID and they wanted to see if anyone was actually READING (or capable of reading) the contractual Agreement. It is not the fault of the attorney if the client is an idiot...

Thus far, Jimbo has signed three (???) contracts with A&M, and NONE contained a buyout clause.

But...is it truly the fault of counsel if the client didn't request one to be included in drafting?

And, can we really rule out aggy discounting advice to include one? What would be more aggy than aggy'ing up a contract?
