Coach G

Was there ever any doubt? Love this program, love the players, and love the coaching staff. We're so glad to have you Coach G, and so thankful to have you at the helm!

Judging by the comments on that article, I'm not the only one who thinks this decision is wrong. goestenkors still will not get a free pass from mediocrity results.

I'm glad too. I was completely frustrated at the beginning of the conference season and attributed the losses to the lack of preparation of the team (the responsiblity of the coaching staff). Slowly the team seemed to "get it". It's a big time system shift to the modern game of women's college basketball from what Jody Conradt was doing at the end of her tenure. I think we've got to pay the price to bring the team up to current standards. Work HARD, Coach G. Work as hard as you can to earn your money and get our program back to the top.

This is the right move, we were only 3 games out from second place in the league. That shows the we're not that far off. Baylor will be super human for one more year until griner's departure, so I anticipate competing for championships in the very near future. A bit behind schedule, but getting to the elite level late is better than not getting to that level at all.

I'm happy to see that affirmation.
I know, no excuses, but there is no question that the slow healing from operations of some players and the unexpected illness of others impacted this team.

Right now, they seem to have a solid eight-nine player rotation. I would love to see at least one more win before the NCAAs. Their play in the NCAAs will help to continue to prepare the way for further success.

I just hope we start seeing something a little more consist!
You never what team is going to show up.

I never love it when the team plays poorly, or when we lose. And as unhappy as I am when we lose, I am anything but when we play great bb like we did for the three games preceding this one. But win or lose, I still support this team, and that includes coaches and players alike.

Only 25 down to #9 seed Tech with 2 minutes left. Who can possibly defend this??

Actually DesertDog, you came to the right place to see this 4-year old train wreck defended. Enjoy.

Get over it, she IS back next year, and all the gritching and whining and name-calling and idiotic rhetoric is NOT going to change it...

WHATEVER YOU THINK, SAY OR DO...

SHE IS COMING BACK FOR YEAR #6.....

MOVE ON.....Get a life.....

Move on as in find other things to do with our time besides go to women's basketball games? That ship has pretty much sailed. All you defenders of this program, do realize that prior to her arrival we averaged 5,400 fans and this year we will average under 4k. That's thanks in large part to them counting season ticket holders that don't show up. A 25% reduction in the fan base over a 5 year period coupled with inconsistency and a lack of internal leadership from kids you recruited. I'm sure next year they'll expect me to pay $20 a ticket for season tickets to this trainwreck. The answer is going to be no.

Hey UTFann, a reply to your QUOTE on the Baylor board:

"I love the comment from the person who said we were only 3 games out of being tied for 2nd place. UMMM HELLO!!! Tied fr 2nd place meant that you would have ONLY LOST SEVEN FREAKING GAMES. I love it I hope that GG stays around for many more years to come.

She is the most overpaid and underproducing coach definitely in womens hoops and maybe in all of D-1 hoops on both sides. "

I think 6 years is enough. That's 5 years with her own recruits. Texas shouldn't accept 2nd best or worse, that many years in a row.

And guess what? goestenkors did better with jody's recruits than hers straight up! ncaas we shall see....KEEP PRAYING for that "gift"!
