CNNSI - Top Recruits Yet to Commit

I would bet that is just the writer's prediction or best guess based on his review of a variety of second hand sources. I do not think Scott has made up his mind and does not have a leader. It's probably fair to say he is trying to decide between us and Colorado, but beyond that who knows.

I have not read much about him, but he seems like a very reserved kid and genuinely conflicted about what to do. He probably does not really want to go to Colorado, but would like to play with his uncle. And no doubt he has a connection with Hagan.

What I find a little odd is his lack of interest in schools that traditionally have been popular with California kids. I get USC because of the logjam, but why UCLA, Cal, Oregon, ASU and even Washington haven't ever been in the picture puzzles me.

I questioned the writer's credibility by labeling CU as a "sleeper," not by predicting Texas as the favorite. Yes, Scott has publicly said to the media that Texas holds a slight lead, so the media can legitimately take him on his word. But he has an uncle playing for CU, Darian Hagan has been recruiting him for quite some time, and he has been recruiting other players to sign with CU, so it's stupid to call CU a sleeper. Maybe a school like UCLA for LSU is a sleeper, but not CU.
