CNN - Florida school bus beating

Well...you can see the race of the bullies. You can't see the race of the kid getting stomped on and his money stolen while the bus driver lets it happen.
 
I can't believe how this incident turned into trying to blame the pool old BLACK bus driver for not going after 3 black punks stomping and beating the white kid.
 
As I stated in the other thread about this (unless there was another incident) most if not all transit companies forbid their drivers from intervening. The legal aspect is exactly why. In fact, drivers are also very limited in how they can protect themselves if attacked. What you would deem appropriate for self-protection would in fact be seen by the company as grounds for firing.

It's pretty ****** but legal actions, money grabbers and shitbag attorneys (not all are shitbags, only the shitbags) forced this.

Horrible situation and I don't care what race was involved. I would like to see incidents like this punished with ferocity. Add double years or something. If it involves creating an unsafe environment for a driver then charge them with mayhem. No, not the Allstate kind. These buses become 20+ ton missiles.
 
At first, I felt sympathy for the bus driver. But this is a grown man, not some old lady. Maybe he's just too physically frail to have done something, but if he's a man that can drive a huge bus around, I think he should have stepped in to protect that boy.

He definitely does not get the "Hometown Hero" award from local evening news.
 
Remember the Seinfeld final episode where Jerry & Co are arrested for not coming to the aid of the fat guy who gets car jacked? That was more like the America I knew growing up.

We used to hear about crime incidents in big eastern cities where crowds of people just watched and did nothing, but in the south, we used to at least tell ourselves that we would have gotten involved.

Those CNN news people make me sick. What if the white kid would have gotten beaten to death? Would they still be so sure the bus driver shouldn't have gotten involved? At some point don't you have to do the right thing and forget about the possiblity of getting sued?
 
Sounds to me like the old Paschal Posse needs to open a chapter in Florida.

OH, wait, that would be white attacking black, which is clearly lead story news and would create three more "sons of Obama", as well as another few hundred thousand into reverend Jesse's nontaxable, non auditable bank account.
 
I have friends that are lawyers, damned good ones and damned good people too. They protect people from the sketchy ones. That's why I qualify my statement and stand by it. There are some really good people making good lawyers, imho.

Unless their cameras are on all the time they have to be triggered by impact or the panic button from the driver. It goes back a certain amount of time to record before the event occurred. He notified his dispatch or police. That's his job and he gets fired not doing it. He would also likely get an *** kicking with no insurance from his job, being fired, to pay his bills. Is anybody here going to pay them for him? I didn't think so.

This is an issue with thugs like this thinking they can get away with actions like these. I wish we would get more Draconian with our justice in situations like this.
 
Another thing. Why didn't anybody else on the bus help out? Any of the kids who were not a 64 year old man? The Cops who said he could have done more are full of ****. Solo, they'd get the **** beaten out of them too. I hope those punks are tried as adults. Something has to be done to make crime not worth it. If it means being more barbaric in our morals, I don't have a problem with it. What we've been doing doesn't work.
 
I'm not going to tangle in the lawyer issue too much, because it's a waste. Some people judge all ministers according to the examples of Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggert. Some people judge all blacks by their worst examples. Some people think all whites are racist as the KKK. And we're always going to have kneejerk lawyer haters. We're always going to have dumbfucks in this world who blab idiotic statements about things they know nothing about but think they know everything about.

Could this bus driver have been sued had he decided to step in? Perhaps (or at least the school district), but frankly, you can get sued anytime you do something that requires you to assume a duty of care like driving a car, transporting passengers, engaging in a business transaction, etc. The kid that got beaten up might sue the school district for failing to provide adequate security on the bus. Regardless of whether or not it actually happens, the risk is always there and can go either way. And stupid people will say that's a bad thing - until of course, something bad happens to them or their dumbass kid that they think never does anything wrong. Then suddenly, lawsuits are great.

As for this bus driver, I don't blame him for not physically intervening in the fight. At his age, I doubt he wanted to get into a fist fight with 3 almost fully grown thugs who may have had weapons. Frankly, if he had jumped in, things could have gotten even uglier.
 
If the roles would have been reversed, the African American Community would have been pushing for the Bus Driver to be Charged with Assault and Battery or a minor, that is why it is relevant, the hypocrisy that exists in this country.
 
^^^. This. Any crime of white on black is absolutely racist. Black on black crime is ignored, and black on white crime is justified because of discrimination. 2500 black kids have been killed by other black kids in Chicago since 2010. Did none of these look like they could have been BO's son??

In this case, if the bus driver had been white and had intervened, the headline would have been "White bus driver attacks black kids."

No it wouldn't make it justified, just not worth reporting, like black-on-black gang shootings in Chi-town.

Interest in this incicent has died. It's gone the way of the IRS scandal, Benghazi, the AP scandal and all the others because the media chose to move the focus elsewhere, like to what Kim K is wearing.

The media is a powerful force. It shapes American thinking and attitudes way more than most people realize.
 
Obama won't mention this act unless he uses it to push for more gun control.
