Clogged kitchen sink

Tried liquid plumber and taking the u shapped pipe out at the bottom. Nothing stuck there so I imagine it is farther back. Anything else I can try before calling a plumber?

try a plunger. you may have to temporarily block the drain from your washing machine, though. if that does'nt work it's time for the steel snake through the exterior cleanout.

If your sink is on an outside wall, look for a cleanout on that wall, on the outside. If you remove the cleanout and the water all runs out, the blockage is further down. If not, it's between the sink and the cleanout.

Rent a snake and do it yourself.

Plunger will only work if you have a single hole sink or you can effectively seal the other drain opening.

My sinke at the house is the last in the plumbing line so if there is a clog that's here things would back up first. If you already took of the "U pibe" then just buy a snake at home depot and run it up the line. There should also be an outside opening to your sewer line with easier access. Usually just a white PVC cap.

My worn out disposal unit frequently clogs my sink. Sometimes just filling the sink up with water as full as possible and then turning on the disposal will clean it out. The extra pressure from the full sink seems to help. If not then the plunger usually does.

You might want to watch that water if it is full of acid though.
