AS I understand it there is no way that the cancelled policies can be reinstated AND the ' settled law" can exist side by side. If BO allows those old polices to go back into effect, even for a year it makes a mockery of his entire law of the land.

BUT it would allow Congress to give it another go and perhaps this time consider some of the ideas put forth over and over by GOP pols.
there are good ideas in ocare and there are good ideas from Pubs. let's step back and consider them all.

maybe Bubba opened the door for BO to reconsider or maybe bubba cleverly positioned Hillary.
 
The dems will never allow that. They'll never backtrack on this horrible law no matter what.
 
The plans are already gone for a lot of people. I doubt insruance companies would bring them back from the dead. Most of the people on those plans that no longer exist have probably already found another plan that meets all the obamacare requirements (at a higher cost).
 
Ah, but when Bill speaks Billary is not far behind. With his endorsement this sets her up to separate herself from this mess and Obama.
 
No doubt Bill, being only the latest Dem to tell BO to either honor his promise or delay obamacare a year puts pressure on the fiasco that is obamacare
and pressure on BO to do something.

The current numbers are showing 10 people are losing their insurance for every 1 person who has signed up and at least put something in their shopping cart.

Bill and Hillary are so sneaky if they decide she can distance herself from obamacare they will. This is not the same as distancing her from healthcare reform
just from obamacare.

Bubba wants back in the White House. He will step up his criticism of Obamacare over the next months to distance Hillary. Does the First Husband get to pick his own staff?

Your point may be the most salient. BO not only made a mockery of it he likely didn't have constitutional authority to make all the changes he did
which may also be Clinton's next point if/when BO doesn't come up with a solution for the millions who have been cancelled.
and we haven't even gotten to the point where the cost to insure the measly few who singed up is discussed.
 
I say screw making changes. They had their chance to make changes but said no. Let it fail and piss everyone who wanted it off along with those who already were pissed off about it. Republicans actually might have the upper hand here.
 
This is stupid-talk from Slick Willie. People talk about Obama keeping the promise as if it's a possibility when it's not.

ACA outlaws the plans people are losing. ACA could be amended to be less restrictive on coverage, but that would undermine one of its alleged purposes (enabling those with preexisting conditions to become insured) and its alleged financial stability. Even in theory, ACA only survives by forcing young and healthy people to grossly overpay for coverages they don't need, which brings in extra money to cover those with preexisting conditions.

If you loosen up coverage rules to let people repurchase their old plans, who's going to subsidize unhealthy people and those with preexisting conditions? There's really only one answer - the taxpayer, so who's willing to stomach ANOTHER tax increase to finance Obamacare?
 
Exactly right - the taxpayer is the only way. I think Obama knew this, but did not think it would hit so early and he would lose support of his own party. I bet they are sitting in the White House praying that the website gets up and somehow miraculously starts signing up millions. I do not think it happens and the democrats will lose the house next election.
 
I pray each day that the website continues to fail. It's a doorway to insurance hell and wealth redistribution.

My concern about letting it go forward is, as we have seen not only are people lying on forms to get subsidies but the BO navigators are telling people to lie, to get lower premiums and higher subsidies ( OUR taxpayer money)
If we let it go forward the people getting the subsidies will not want to let them go.

Better for all of us to stop it now and to craft a new plan, THIS time with both parties' imput.
 
If only BO had just taken our tax dollars and paid for insurance for the uninsured we would have been better off.
