Check my math.
Starting May 1st Texas' record is 17-3 and KSU's is 9-7
If Texas wins ONLY 2 more games giving us a record of 19-9 (.679), and KSU LOSES only 2 more games giving the 'Cats a record of 18-9 (.667), we win the Big-12 championship.
If the above analysis is correct, then is the magic number of Texas wins and.or KSU loses 4?
I started with the assumption that Texas loses the rest of its games, and KSU wins the rest of its games. It was at the above W-L records that our winning percentage surpasses KSU's.
This assumes the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. teams lose at least 2-4 games and the Horns win at least that many more.
At any rate, we are closing in a another Big-12 championship.
Texas % KSU %
17 3 0.850 9 7 0.563
17 11 0.607 20 7 0.741
18 10 0.643 19 8 0.704
19 9 0.679 18 9 0.667
