Interesting that five years of a government justice system after him could not prove a thing in a court of law. And for Lance, no failed tests in over 500, and nothing against him has stuck.

At some point, as a society, we either respect the justice system. Or we don't. Is a man found guilty.. guilty? Is a man found not guilty... not guilty? Based on the system, or based on public perception.

Sometimes I wonder.

I think most people respect the system until it returns a result that flies in the face of their own perspective or prejudice. For those who want to believe Clemens and Armstrong doped, the verdict, and 500 negative test results, are each a slap in the face accompanied by a "you're wrong". People don't like that.

It's easy to formulate opinions/verdicts in these court cases when you go into them with a preconception of the verdict you want. That's why the vetting process for jury selection focuses on those who don't give a rat's *** about baseball or cycling. Both sides have the mechanism to get 'their guys' on the jury. With that in mind, there's no reason not to accept the jury's findings as fact (and more often than not as truth), and move on.

You don't have to forget your personal feelings to forgive someone their actions (as you see them).

I think Roger juiced at the end of his career, but he still won 7 Cy Young awards and most of those were before the juicing era. Winning two of those would make anyone a lock for the HOF.
