I think it is amazing that they get these guys for lying but not for committing the initial crime.....Clemens, Bonds, Blago it goes on and on, the Fed is out of control.

My two cents. He was likely caught up in denying to his
sons that he had done anything except be a legitimate
superhero. "No Coby, I would never do that and neither
should you", hoping that would be the end of it. Later,
caught up in the whirlwind does he now admit (to his own
family) that he was lying or does he continue to try to
maintain the image? Tough deal. He has made his own
bed, so to speak and now will have to deal with it.

I don't think they have anything, the plea deal came pretty quickly, the US Attorney is trying to save face and he does not care if Clemens lied or not, he just wants to win to save his reputation, justice will not be served either way.
