Cleaning Stainless Cookware (Burned Food)

My wife, bless her heart she tries, forgot to turn down the heat when making rice last night and burned up the rice pretty good in my stainless saucepan.

Anyone got a good tip on cleaning that kind of stuff out of stainless cookware?

Soak in hot water and use a rubber spatula to rub/work off the rice. If that doesn't work, try putting water into the cookware and boiling it, again using the rubber spatula to get the rice off.

I fixed your postTell your wife to soak the pan in hot water and use a rubber spatula to rub/work off the rice. If that doesn't work, tell your wife to try putting water into the cookware and boiling it, again using the rubber spatula to get the rice off.

I'll 2nd what CHF said, but try pouring in a 1/2 box of table salt after soaking, and scrub like a mofo w/ a Brillo pad.
