Anyone been to this fabulous Indian Food restraunt? I went there for my birthday last week and had the lamb tikka masala that was amazing.

Be careful on the amount of spice you ask for. Mild is more like Medium, Medium is Hot, and Hot is brain damage.

Any Indian food enthusiasts out there?

Guilty as charged! There is another place I enjoy maybe more, maybe. It is on Burnet south of 183. About 80% of the crowd is Indian...that is a good sign in my book. They have a great Masala Dosa. They also have a much bigger lunch buffet. It is on the West side of the street, Sambar something, I think. I just follow my nose.

The decor of Clay Pit is great and it is close to my house, a bonus.

The place I referred to above is Sarovar. BTW, there is now a location open at the Dobie Mall. It is an express w/ some items on a buffet type layout. Delish, fast and cheap. Ex: Masala Dosa for 2.99.

i refuse to eat fast chinese food (it goes through you like a steam train) so why on God's green earth would i want fast indian food? good god man, what are you trying to do to me?

I am trying to get you out of the picture so that I can have Anna, Mira, Reece, and all other hotties to myself. My loins and only my loins shall burn for them. Mine, do you hear me, mine all mine (maniacal laughter, or usual laughter...same thing)mwahahahah!

one of the owner's of Clay Pit used to be a door guy at Able's (the long haired Indian looking guy strangely enough). Jack must pay really well.

Ate there again last night. The lamb masala kicked ***. My girlfriend had the prawns and rice combo. We love this place.

UH, his name is Manu and he and his family own the restaurant. He's a very cool guy.

Jack pays well?? Yeah, right!!!

I really enjoy Sarovar. It was recommended to me by an Indian friend. It is the only Indian restaurant in town that he recommended to me.

My roommate eats at Sarovar all of the time and he loves it--makes my house a pretty unpleasant place to be, though. Who says Indians don't create weapons of mass destruction?

We eat at the Clay Pit every few weeks. I'm a complete novice when it comes to Indian food, but I'm a sucker for their "chicken vindaloo", at the "hot" level. Chicken, potatoes, peppers, spices, who knows. DAMN.
