He is his father's son; both class acts and men of their word. I expect Clark said that and will stand behind it.

Seattle, Clark doesn't give a rat's *** what some pea-brain athlete, who has no clue what he's doing, thinks and will not let the inmates run the asylum.

He did his father, grandfather, aunts, and cousins proud. Now, if the Hunts would just buy Nike.

Clark Hunt Changes Tone on Protests: 'We're in a Very Different Place as a Country'

(from last season) As four years have passed since former San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the national anthem before a game in protests against racial inequalities and police brutality in America, Kansas City Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt seems to be changing his stance on the matter.

Hunt addressed the issue in a press conference with reporters Saturday and said although he hasn’t had any conversations with players, he knows it’s important.

“I would say that we’re in a very different place as a country,” Hunt said. “These issues are very important to our players, they're important to our coaching staff, our entire organization, and this is a time to be sensitive, it's a time to listen, it's a time to understand, and I recognize that around the league there may be some kneeling that goes on with the national anthem, and I just think the country is in a really different place at this point.”

Lamar was definitely the best of ol daddy's offspring. Before we moved to FtW in 67, I went to Lakewood Elementary. The stories about the old man (HL) are plenty. He came to our auditorium to speak in '62 or '63ish, he left a mark with his talk. The world's most wealthy individual talking to kids, parents and teachers about responsibility, personal and financial. 'i take a sack lunch to work unless I have to travel. It's a habit. Like anything else in life, your habits make you who you are'. Great speaker, walked the walk (when it came to business)

ETA : Lamar was the worst driver in the world. He clipped over a coupla dozen cars around town, always left a note to identify himself as the perp

Sorry to learn that about Clark.

Mr Hunt was a great man and one of a kind. When I was in college, I had occasion to go to his home for dinner. As he was giving me directions, he included, "Son, when you come through the gate, go slow and don't hit any of my deer".

Beautiful home and setting.

The one on Lawther? Awesome place, I bet you know how lucky you are/ were to be in that circle. Lot of great stories to be had (from what I heard)

When you guys see these wild memes, you should look into them before believing them. They are very, very often wrong. If Hunt had actually said this, don't you think it would have been a major controversy that would have dominated the news?

Yes, but it takes courage to tell the truth and so few have it these days.

I agree, but he didn't do what the meme suggested.

It's what some want an owner to say. That's good enough to run with it. A fraternity pledge brother of mine who spent 9 years in the NFL also posted it on FB. When many pointed out that it was a fabrication he distracted to "well Biden lies" and "it's the message that is important". Anyone screaming "Fake News" should make a minimal effort to try to validate the truthfulness. Not claiming this applied to EDT.

You are correct; I would rather Clark have said it, so the NFL (which I gave up on several years ago) had one owner with the balls to do it.

SH,
I should have checked this out before posting. My bad!

That sounds suspiciously like you defending BLM.

You forget that poster insisted the Seattle chaos rapes deaths and destruction was only a street fair. Of course he would defend the group that caused his summer of love

It would be great to defund the blm. I saw a person get sent to prison for burning the blm flag on the news but you can burn our great American flag and it's ok. Piss*s me off.

I gave a 2nd hand report of a day trip to the area. One that also was reinforced by others which I posted pictures and videos as supporting evidence. I also admitted that things were likely much differnt at night.

Meanwhile, i refuse to be mischaracterized by someone who spent ten years on the West Mall learning the proper use of the carriage return. Spare me your lack of reading comprehension or amateur nostradamus skills.

Sorry, pal, reading your entire post about Summer of Love is humorous. "Like Haight Asbury of the 60s", lol.... add in murder, graffiti building fires and yeah, you hit the target alright

"It's not the summer of love, it's the summer of chaos"

Seattle businesses, residents sue after violence in CHOP autonomous zone

>>Seattle businesses sued the city Wednesday over the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP), claiming the occupation led to unsafe conditions and violence in the neighborhood.

The class action lawsuit stated that the city's decision to "abandon and close off an entire city neighborhood" to police, fire and medical services "subjected businesses, employees and residents of that neighborhood to extensive property damage, public safety dangers and an inability to use and access their properties."

"The City has enacted a policy under which police will not enter the CHOP area except during life-and-death emergencies, and, even in those situations, the response is, at best, muted and late," according to the suit. It specifically cited the June 20 shooting in the CHOP zone that left one person dead and stating that police arrived 20 minutes after the shooting due to the occupation.

Which point that I made are you discounting. That shooting occurred in the evening. I specifically stated the feedback I received from my son and his friends occurred during the day and the situation was likely different in the evening. Nothing you've posted disputes what I wrote.

That the term Summer of Love was laughable. *********. Fiction.

You were there? Please share the photos and observations. Oh you weren't there? You relaying Andy Ngo and other blogs? Oh, what does the Falun Gong think about it sinc you subscribe to their perspective?

No I wasn't there, dip. I rely on news reports. You rely on your son. Guess which is more reliable?

Summer of Love :lmao:

You attack other people's sources constantly but yet you're the one who usually ends up being wrong. What does that tell you?

You pay money for a subscription to Epoch Times, an propaganda arm of Falun Gong. I'll take the word of my Chemical Engineer son' first hand account over that.
