Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil resigns

not surprised at all - knowing why she went there - could make for some interesting recruiting developments with the 2010 class
 
Good luck to Clarissa and prayers are with her mother. We've missed her at Texas. Wish Coach G could have held onto her. Doesn't seem like GG's assistants are getting the job done in terms of recruiting.
 
hey barrow maybe if you think coach g's asst. are not getting the job done - maybe you can talk to clarrisa and tell her to stop with some of her antics about this staff and it could help our recruiting
 
c'mon people. coach g. and staff have done a fine job of recruiting and clarissa was a great champion and representative of the university. can we just wish her luck and stop with the rest of this nonsense.

Rutgers appears to be losing another freshman as well....to Baylor??!!!!

Not surpised that she's leaving Rutgers. I am surprised she's going to Baylor. I thought she had burned that bridge when she signed w/Rutgers over them to begin with.
 
My goodness! Baylor's 2009 class is already the top rated in the nation. Add Pope to the team in 2010 after Griner has a year under her belt and we may be talking about Baylor the way we have been talking about UCONN this year.

Do I recall correctly that Pope can also dunk? Might we see two players dunk in the same game?
 
That's scary to think about Pope joining BU's already incredible recruits. I totally get it about feeling disappointed in our recruiting. Cokie and Flores should be very good players. But when Coach G came, many of us had high (and evidently unrealistic) expectations that recruiting would jump up to a new level. I thought the cachet she brought from her fame and success at Duke might attract some of the best players quickly. Now, I fear that our recruiting strength may fade the longer she is at UT without having outstanding results. Recruiting seems like a snowball. There is a snowball effect, but you have to get the snowball going first.
 
personally, i think Griner's early committment to BU took care of most of the recruiting for them....no offense to coach mulkey.
and, i'm not disappointed with coach G's recruiting. maybe in a couple more years i'd feel justified in saying such a thing if it were to be true at that time. but i don't think so!!!!
 
Best to Clarissa's family situation but we don't need Clarissa back here. Clarissa is her own biggest fan. I stood near her at FastBreak not long after she graduated. She mocked Jody the entire time the coach was speaking. Glad she was here but am even more glad she is gone!
 
Hope for the best, for Clarissa and her family. She has done a lot for the program and definitely wish her the best.... Even if there are rumors of her talking about the current UT program, I'm sure ppl would give more credit to Coach Conradt opinions than Mrs. Davis. I'm really glad Coach Conradt conitnues to support Coach G and help support the program (as evident w/ some of the recruits we picked up, Cokie Reed, Tiffany Moore...). There were some in-state recruits that I thought we'd have a great chance when Conradt was around, but with a total change in the UT coaching staff, I think the Staff has done a great job recruiting the right players and with the right attitude. It's good to see athletes coming to play cuz they love Coach G and the University.

Coach G is gonna do some great things. She'll have a top recruiting class soon, but she sure can coach!!
 
I must have missed something. What exactly has Clarissa been saying about our current coaching staff? I haven't heard anything about this before.
