If you go to Havana Club, please report back and give us a review. I frequent Javier's, but was thinking of trying out HC next week. A little worried that the location may make it a little too much "scene"."
Went to Havana Social Club last night. It is next to the WFAA Channel 8 Studios in Victory Plaza.
First.. no valet parking for it, so, parking is the first whip.
If you park underground in the complex, the doors leading to the elevator and stairs are locked at night so you have to walk out to the street and down the parking ramp to get to your car.
Last night, around 11 o'clock, there was a corner with 3 mid 20 dudes, a table with a couple, 2 other people, me and my date. That's it. The upstairs was reserved for a private party but it had not arrived. The place was dead.
I'm sure after Mavs or Stars games, the place is packed, but...
Fair selection of cigars priced mid to upper range... a glass of Oban on the rocks ran $19.. sparkling water ran $6
Flat screen teevee on the wall... generic low music.
Maybe I just caught them on an off night.. but.. so far, it can't compare to Javiers, or Sambuca... or Ricardi's.
