Chutney recipes?

I just polished off some APPLE Chutney that I bought from the British Embassey's Christmas Fair. It was AR$18 (18 pesos) and should have been about AR$6 considering it had about ONE peso's worth of fruit in the jar.

About a day or two ago, I realized that I could make chutney at a fraction of the price. And if I made enough, I could sell off some to all of my English friends.

So does anyone have an APPLE Chutney recipe?

I could probably make a MANGO Chutney as well, but I recently have come to the realization that I'm allergic to mangos and first and foremost I want to make something I can eat.

Thanks.

PS- If you recommend one kind of apple (or apples) over another (others), I would appreciate that knowledge as well.

Perhaps chutney is to be eaten with naan. I don't know. I do know that I polished off my jar eating it on some awesome crackers.

Also, I think that chutney is a bit of a fall/winter condiment, but you have to remember that I'm entering fall right now... OK, you don't have to remember anything if you don't want to, but I'm just saying. I am.

I don't have a chutney recipe. I've never made it.

But I Googled "Chutney Recipe" and there are literally thousands of them.

Let us know if you find one you use and like.
