Christmas Tree Disposal

Is there anywhere in Austin I could still drop off a Christmas tree without being charged a fee? I missed the Zilker recycling and city large brush collection.

Call Austin Wood Recycling off hwy 1431 in Cedar Park. They turn them into the mulch you buy at Home Depot.

I placed ours curbside this past week on the "grass clippings" recycling day and CoA crew picked it up.

Take Stratford Dr. off Barton Springs (W. bound) - right there at Zilker. Thats the road that separates the newly sodded - former - Soccer Fields and the the Zilker Botanical Garden.

You'll get to the S. Parking lot for the Hike&Bike trail, under the MoPac bridge.

Look just past the lot (behind the brush). There is a City area where they bring in the grinders, sometimes there will be piles of mulch, sometimes there will be soccer goals in storage.

Leave it there.
