See any killer deals on Christmas lights, let us know....Previously, who has had the best deals on Christmas lights?

got a realy good deal on a bunch at garden ridge a few years ago (the outdoor ones).

For the indoor ones, HEB, surprisingly had a really good deal last Christmas.

HD and Lowes are usually ripoffs

Buy a minimal amount to use this year, then stock up for following years at the closeout sales after Christmas.

The closeout sales are ridiculously cheap. This is for sure the way to go. That or cruise around looking for open garages and get the boxes that say Christmas :Lights. But be clever, sometimes they call them X-Mas. You are welcome.

Has anyone done a cost benefit analysis on the purchase price of LED's vs the savings on electric bill?

I haven't, but splurged on LEDs last year anyway. I like them a lot, if for no other reason than the lack of heat from the bulbs. It just makes me feel better when the tree is old, dry, and crackly.
