Festival of Lights in Zilker Park, from Dec 9 to 23. Take her for a walk through the lights and then spin underneath the giant tree of lights at the end.

one of my friends has a house just south of zilker park. the past couple of years he has thrown a party at his house for the trail of lights. it made my girlfriend happy.

You could take your woman to see santa claus and then poke her in the pooper in those little prop santa houses that they have in the malls. That would be fun.

Check out the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar at the Austin Music Hall:The Link

Arts & crafts for sale (not crappy flea market digs..some of it's damn pricey), live music, plus a full bar. Pretty cool place to go people watch, look at stuff, & of course drink while you do it. Plus you're within a 5 minute walk to the Ginger Man.

Thanks guys, for all your suggestions, i might have to explore this ideas, especially the pooper one, at the trail of lights...

Yee-Haw!!!!!
Santa is gonna think im a naughty boy for doing that, but oh well, how can you resist the "pooper"?

i took my girlfriend to the nutcracker last year at bass concert hall and she loved it. it was one of my christmas gifts to her. although an early one.

a low key thing... rent "national lampoon's christmas vacation". great christmas movie. i watch "planes, trains, and automobiles" every thanksgiving and "christmas vacation" every christmas. both are john hughes movies (16 candles, uncle buck, ferris bueller,...).

Go for a walk on 37th street to look at the lights. It defintely more unique than Zilker Park. A true "Only in Austin experience. "

They should carpet bomb the Trail of Lites. It just takes up space. The tree is nice, but the Trails is as useless as a scally post between 2:00 and 6:00 AM.
