Christie won't run

Christie was not likely prepared for his family to be assaulted my the national media. Who could blame him. They will not treat kindly anyone who would try to unseat their man.

Why was this so hard for people to understand. The man is on record saying his is not ready. That was a pretty good sign! And, McBrett, you are smart enough to know Perry wasn't going to hold up. And it has nothing to do with the faux rock controversy.

It's Romney, with an outside chance of Paul.

I can't say I trust what most politicians say when it comes to their careers- I felt there was a 30% chance or so he'd run. And if he did, I would have given him a very serious look as I like and respect his moderate views.

For Perry- I laugh everytime he makes a mistake. I despise him. And for the sake of my favorite state did not want him representing us to the world. Romney has yet to win me over, but he also doesn't come off as offensive with his views. Obama, I have mixed views on and can vote for him again if the GOP doesn't produce.

This is what can earn my vote- it doesn't mean you agree with the other party, it means you work with them in the interest of the country.

And because of images like this- I think he was too moderate to get elected in the GOP today- which is sad because he may have fared much better in the general elections. Perhaps he'll lose a little weight, and give it a go in 2016.

The difference between Christie and Obama is that Christie knows he's not ready for the job. Obama had to find out the hard way. Or should I say, we (the people) had to.

Third Coast- I hate to make Perry-Aggie analogies- but I just can't help myself.. he is so aggy, and what he does as governor reminds me of the same aggie stuff we discuss on the other boards here on the field, recruiting and in the stands..

To think for a moment he wants to be President- wow.. no.. f'ing.. way. I'd like to see him drop in the polls as much as his little football team is doing right now. And moving to the SEC?? way to expose yourselves further dummy.

Christie has consistently said he was not going to run. He never once said a word in public that would lead any thinking or considerate person to think otherwise. The repeated stories about Chris Christie and Sarah Palin considering runs for the presidency have been pure fabrications every step of the way. And if these stories continue to appear, as I expect they will, those stories will be media fabrications also.

Wake up and smell the coffee, people. The media does this to gin up ratings and attention for themselves. Just like the did with the over-the-top coverage of the squall referred to as Hurricane Irene when it hit the East Coast at the end of August.
