Chris Whaley

If true...Fantastic. I ran into this young man standing by himself outside a mens bathroom at the Tech game. He was very nice and thanked me when I told him I hope he comes to Texas.

Man, Mack is loading this class up. Again, I honestly think this class may end up being just as good as the 2002 class.

My jaw dropped when I watched his videos. He just bulls over people but also seemed to be fast as **** for someone his size. When he got into space he was gone.

Ngnichols: I agree. Although we won't have 28 scholarships to give out, pound for pound, this class has the chance to be every bit as talented and exciting as 2002.

It seems like we never have a "big' class. I see teams signing like over 30 players, and yet I don't remember any of our recent classes being out of the low 20s, sometimes just the teens. Por que?

If Darrell Scott's mom had let his boy come to Texas, I see Chris Whaley going to Notre Dame.

I'm going to knit a thank you sweater for Darrell.

My personal opinions:

Wait! Didn't Chris read the spin about A&M's new emphasis on recruiting with each new coach's press release?

Didn't he read the spin about all our NFL experience that was going to get us the top recruits?

I know he had an A&M offer?

Winning coaches sign the four and five star athletes, say "it's about winning", and win!

Losing coaches sign the two and three star athletes that are left over, say "it's about player development", and lose!

very good question.
every school can only have 25 scholarship guys come in every class.
many of the SEC schools always have more than that b/c they have gray shirts and partial qualifiers. that is why the rankings are complete BS. for example Bama signed 33 guys in this years class but at best only 25 will get on campus this fall. sometimes if they come in during the spring semester then they can count towards the previous class.
the big 12, for what i know, and definitely UT does not take partial qualifiers and grey shirts.

UTEE, excellent point. Additionally, I think too much credit is given to the 2002 for winning the national title and not enough is given to the 2003 class which contain some significant contributors to the title.

I'm lovin' our offense a couple of years down the road! Great pickup...and welcome to the forty acres!!!

I think most project Whaley at LB at the next level.

Hahahahaha. Yeah, and they're planning on moving Garrett Gilbert to safety. LOL at Ags trying to make themselves feel better about losing ANOTHER top recruit to the Good Guys.
