Chris Simms: Tampa Bay is holding me hostage

jon gruden has always seemed like such an *******. he's one of those coaches that has an ego larger that that of some of the most self absorbed players. he completely wrecked that team after inheriting all of that super bowl talent.
chris deserves better after leaving a spleen on the field for his team..

If Chris is back to his pre-injury level, then he can easily compete for the starter's job in Houston, Kansas City (where he would be the clear starter), Detroit, Pheonix, Atlanta, and Chicago, just to name a few.

He will get his shot, and I am sure that he will pick his spot well. If nothing else, he gets paid 2 million to put up with Gruden's **** for another year.

Any chance of him coming back to Austin as a coach, when his playing days are up?

i know you're kidding, but i don't think chris would ever step foot in Austin again.

[obligatory]Major would have a better chance to start for Houston, Kansas City, Detroit, Pheonix, Atlanta, or Chicago.[/obligatory]

So Gruden wanted to cut him, but the Glazer family insisted that he stay on the roster? Why?

Chris wanted to be cut sooner? Is there someplace that he would rather be playing?

Man, a little hate from some of the TB posters. I guess it's easier to blame the QB then to take a hard look at your offense and the quality (or lack thereof) of your offensive line.

I love the one guy talking about Simms whining while he was in college. Maybe I just missed that part, but all I remember was him showing up, playing hard and quietly taking a whole lot more criticism than he deserved.

There are a lot of haters posting on that site. Too many people want him to just take the money and sit there. Too many criticize him for speaking his mind.

Fact is he isn't going to play there and he really isn't part of the team. He knows he could maybe start or be a second string QB on a lot of teams. It's his life and we all know how short an NFL career can be. He needs to do what is best for Chris.

If he were the backup QB this would be different but he isn't.

Wow Brother that looks more like aggy maroon to me.

Hell, that could be an inside joke for him since he took so much **** here.
