Chris Matthews: Possible Romney Landslide

There is an element of the political punditry class that can not imagine this country will actually reject President Obama. Iit would appear they are finally waking up to the fact that this is exactly what is about to happen.
 
I heard that Chris Matthews was ranting about Obama losing because of racism after the debate?
 
There will be a huge swell of racist accusations should Obama get bounced IMO.

No matter what happens, his presidency has taken a lot of ammunition away from race-baiters. We can hopefully agree that Black, Brown, White, Red, whoever people can be very smart and very accomplished but nevertheless screw up certain jobs badly.
 
I don't quite understand why Matthews and Maddow were so agitated after the debate. Maybe b/c they wanted to see Romney lose his cool & didn't?

Obama was doing the best he could to (a) try to look forceful, which Chris and Rachel have demanded, and (b) sound like he has been reading Intel breifs the past 4 years.

Both candidates did what they had to do......yet the 2 lead msnbc talkers were beside themselves.....I didn't understand why
 
It's all on Ohio. If Ohio flips to Romney, he'll also pick up extra states (because all of Obama's resources are fighting to hold the Ohio firewall), and pop 300 electoral votes.

Obama's strategy is clear. he gets that if he hasn't won undecided voters over the last 4 years, he's not winning them in the next two weeks. This is all about voter turnout now. He has to incite the base, keep hitting on the GM/Chrysler bailout (irony- the taxpayers that paid and are still paying for that 11 figure loss are Romney voters for the most part), and suppress enthusiasm for the opponent. That's why he is going so negative the last two weeks.
