Choosing Cable Provider

I live in McKinney, and we're trying to decide on a cable provider. The bundled deals are mind-boggling. The main thing we watch is sports and we will be viewing on wide-screen HD plasma or LCD if that makes a difference. Confused about quality/cost of Time Warner, AT&T U-verse and Verizon FiOS. Do not want a dish. Any thoughts or experiences are much appreciated.

One of my assistants just went through an over a month long ordeal b.c. AT&T messed up her work order to install U-verse. They installed cable and TV, but couldn't set up the phone b/c "the instalation date was wrong on the work order." It took a month and 5 different appointments with techs to get someone to figure out that the phone service could be turned on at AT&T's end, and they didn't even need to send a tech.

We have Grande, so I can't say which one would be good.

I have been on U-verse for 11 1/2 months now and am very happy. The install took 4 hours and the quality is just slightly under TW but completely made up for in the 35% cost savings. Whole house dvr was added about 3 months ago and is awesome. The on demand movie list is huge, though clunky to dig around in.

I pay $105/month (total) for the U-200 cable package and the "Elite" internet package (6mb/down) plus the HD package.

The HD quality is subpar, but I pay 30% less than I did with TWC. My biggest gripe is with the HD quality, but I'm still around.
