Now that the feds are looking into how the relief fundsfor Sandy are being spent, its time for a distraction!

No details yet, but Im betting that he will put a lot in there to piss off teachers unions. The louder they scream, the better the distraction. Im also betting that there will be plenty on the right that fall into his trap and back him against the evil teachers unions. 'Merica.

The Sandy Relief "Scandal" is how they put it...the faux outrage dejour.

As for the school day it doesnt need to be longer but I'm not sure about the length of the school year. I know when I was in middle school and high school the thing in Texas was trying to get closer to year round schooling with more off days. It has now reverted back most places to be much closer to the original labor day to memorial day school year.

Anything to get the attention off of Obamacare and the Gates book.

No coincidence that as soon as Bridgegate breaks, The Left, sensing weakness, attacks with both barrels blazing.

As a conservative, I personally hope that Christie does get ruined by this little tempest. A New Jersey Republican is about like a Texas Democrat. He hasn't done a single thing to help a fellow Repub except himself. He's kissed BO's *** while shiting on Romney during the last election. He's signed tuition breaks for illegals and gay right bills. Hell, we might as well elect Hillary as him.

Obama care sucks -----> media creates CC distraction ------> CC creates school year distraction -----> ???? -------> profit

You guys can really get off topic. What we are likely to see is a) NJ subpoenas files from CC's staff...and b) Because of such a long time delay, there will be plenty of time for staffers to erase computer hard drives. Dems can be so inefficient.

Hook'em!!!

Frankly -- the additional schooling hours looks like a serious policy initiative. I'd certainly hope this was studied and in the works a while.

The bridgegate and campaign ads are a different sort of issue for the public -- easy for the press and disinterested public to understand, kind of like Anthony Weiner's sexting. Anyone with a third grade reading skill can see bridgegate as mean-spirited bullying and an abuse of the public trust.

After reading several stories on "Bridgegate," it's remarkable to me how different the media spin is from how it was on the Obama scandals (real or perceived). At least at this point, there's no evidence of Christie's personal involvement in Bridgegate. Maybe some will turn up, but it hasn't so far. He can basically claim "I'm stupid." However, the focus isn't on any of that. It's on vague references to Christie fostering a "culture" of irresponsibility.

However, on the IRS, Benghazi, etc., we can choose to call those scandals or not call them scandals, but nobody can dispute that some **** went very wrong. However, at least in every story I read, the mainstream media basically spun the narrative that the White House had no knowledge of anything. I don't recall many references to a "culture of incompetence," even though on all of those scandals/non-scandals, somebody was very incompetent. Basically, "I'm stupid" was tantamount to exoneration.

The conclusion I'm starting to reach is that I shouldn't care about political scandals. They're so stained by partisanship, double standards, and media bias (on both sides) that I just can't take them seriously anymore. Basically, I should just assume that every political leader is a crook and that the biggest difference between Nixon and everybody else is that he got caught.

Drip, drip, drip. Death by a thousand cuts. Rachel & Kornacki aren't letting up,,,this could get ugly for chris!

As far as Benghazi and Operation Fast and Furious go, it's like a trucker who works for you sliding on ice and killing someone and damaging property. Bridgegate is like a trucker who works for you driving to the home of a person who rufused you a favor and pummelling their car with a sledgehammer.

The Obama "scandals" has severe consequences, but there is no clear malicious intent. With Bridgegate, the lost time, productivity and inconvenience came from intent was unambiguously malicious.

In defense of my analogy, there is possible ambiguity in that the trucker working for you smashing the car under his own initiative. He's as likely to work independently of your instructions as would a deputy chief of staff.

U.S. Attorney's office & FBI are now looking into this mess. Sub poenas out to the state repub committee, among others.

Hey Darrell 'Torchman' Issa -- this is what a REAL scandal looks like,, not your fake ben ghazi 'investigation' or the fake IRS 'investigation' where you selectively release emails to cover up the fact that liberal groups were targeted as well!
