'Chinese Democracy' release date...

I agree, but I am still excited to hear it and see what all the wait was for. I can't think of an album that has had more of a build up and anticipation then this one.

I seriously doubt Axl would let them rejoin or do a reunion tour for support of the release of this album. He probably wants them getting no cut for all the work and time that he put into the album when they were doing their solo gigs and Velvet Revolver.

Axl has also had some pretty bad *** guitarists on in the band during the recording process over the last 10 years: Brian May, Zakk Wylde, Robin Finck, and Buckethead.

I figure that it's got to be pretty accurate. It's not like this is a forecast that is 6-12 months out...this is in a little over 5 weeks. They need to start manufacturing all the albums, getting them distributed, etc if it's really going to happen that quickly.

I'll believe it when I see it. I also agree that it's not GNR w.out Slash and Duff. However, if Chinese Democracy is half as good as what those guys have done with Velvet Revolver, it will be worth picking up.

Surprisingly, Izzy has made a few appearances at some recent GNR gigs. There's videos of him on youtube coming on stage and playing Patience and a few other songs. The first step towards a reunion?

dude- if this album is anything less than the second coming of Jesus himself, its going to be considered a failure.

I dont think I've ever heard of an album that was already named and supposedly already in the tank (originally) and ready to go, only to get pulled back for 10 years of one crazy fool twiddling with it.

It would seriously have to go quadruple platinum to be considered a freaking "good" album (and its been at least 2 years since an album went platinum)

I saw this incarnation of GNR at the Hammerstein in New York in 2006 and it rocked rocked rocked. (They were warming up for their Chinese Democracy tour, which obviously never happened). I know, give me Slash and the 1992 lineup over it any day, but this is a good band (albeit weird) Axl's got together. The new songs were good. I really want to see this album released, but it's probably not gonna happen until Axl dies or deals with his fear of failure issues.

There is zero hope for Adler. You have to be a complete mess to get booted from Guns N' Roses for partying. The guy went on tour with a band he called "Adler's Appetite" doing Guns songs and dropped off the tour because he was doing crack and boozing and essentially couldn't function. Yet the band in which he was the center attraction and namesake kept touring!
