There's nothing wrong with chicken as barbeque, just so long as it is a side dish to your brisket. You know, briskit, ribs with beans, potatoes of your choice and a side of chicken.
The BBQ chicken tacos at Bongos were the ****. Chicken is really good smoked with BBQ sauce on it. However, the mere presence of BBQ sauce and smoke does not make BBQ. Brisket to me is the only real BBQ. Ribs are ribs, and chicken is chicken. I love them both, but they aren't brisket.
You're too damn lazy if you can't 'cue a brisket or ribs or any form of beef for that matter. Granted chicken is good, but that's the lazy man's meat. There's nothing to grilling or cueing it at all. My 4-yr-old niece could 'cue chicken! Now brisket, ribs, etc... on the other hand.... .mmmm.... just melts in your mouth! Can't say the same for chicken.
chicken = side dish...or an alternative for pantywaisted guests that are too sissy for red meat. the dude in the article got it right...no matter what you do to chicken, it still tastes like chicken: meh.
