Chicken Chili

My wife does not eat beef and I need a chicken chili receipe.

Google chicken chili...there are tons of recipes available. If you want one without beans or hominy make sure you google 'chicken chili without beans'.

Is she talking about "white chile"? That's what it's called, but it's not like brown chile. More like a stew with chicken, green hatch chiles, cream, and corn. Some people put white beans in it. Then you eat it with tortilla chips and shredded jack cheese.

Can you get by with using ground turkey meat instead of beef? Add extra Cumin and garlic and you are golden. Also, use about 10 percent more meat than you would for beef since it seems to break down differently. But the flavor is actually quite good. I make New Mexico red chili with ground Turkey and it is awesome. Also very, very simple to make.

Perhaps it is good, but it is not chili. Tortilla soup perhaps?

Chicken chili is most definitely chili. Chili can be made with any meat (or even without meat). Other than those silly, highly-restrictive "chili" competitions where the winning recipe is virtually an exact knockoff year to year, there is no consensus that chili must be made with only beef or pork.

My favorite chili of all time...I made it with 1/3 venison, 1/3 pork and 1/3 turkey.

I sometimes use ground turkey for my chili to get my wife to eat it. Its not bad.
