I'm going to Chicago the first week of July and need some tips. I'm going to pick up some tickets for the Cubs game that Sunday. Is there a certain area that I should sit in? I thought about getting the bleachers GA tickets, but I'm going to be a little late to the game and don't really want to be pushed to the top.

Also, I will be there during Taste of Chicago. What exactly is the story with that?

It doesn't matter how bad your seats are...you need to sit in the bleachers. Nothing but 20-35 year olds getting plastered and having a great time. There is never a long line for beer...pound some Old Styles and you won't regret it.

My wife & I are heading to either Chicago or Fort Lauderdale/Miami the weekend of August 17. I have been to Fort Lauderdale and loved the place. But never been to Chicago.

I am leaning towards Chicago although this might be our only chance for a beach destination this summer.

If Chicago, we would be flying out Wed. night through Sunday morning. The Cubs have a home series that time period and I would likely try to do the THursday day game (or Friday day game, we have both options). How hard is it to scalp tickets? Should I use stubhub or just scalp there? How much should I be looking to drop for 2?

Will we need a rental car to get around if we stay downtown?

Any recommendations on things to see?

I'm going July 27-29 with a lady friend to Chicago for the Crossroads Guitar Festival. I have never been, but she's been a few times. We are staying on Michigan Avenue. Friday night we are going to the Sox/Blue Jays game (my brother lives with Vernon Wells' brother, so tickets shouldn't be a problem). What are some good places to eat? Also, I'm sure there are some good wine bars or lounges around that area; I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

I love me some Giordano's for pizza.

And you won't need a car. Very walkable city, plus the trains can get you anywhere.
