Cheddar's Casual Cafe

So I hear that there is a Cheddar's up in Round Rock. Anyone been there yet, and how was it?

I lived in NE Tarrant County in the mid-90s, and that was/is my favorite restaurant. It's been too long since I've had a Cookie Monster.

I have been to a couple in areas other than Austin (Tyler and El Paso). Thought the food was good for the "chain type" rest. Portions were extremely healthy, but something about it feels too cliche.

I still prefer Chili's.

ive been to the cheddars in RR. i wasnt that impressed but maybe it was just what i ordered which was a philly cheesesteak and fries (both were nasty) and the chips w/ salsa and queso wasnt that good either. i probably wont go back. oh one more thing...the waiters were kind of annoying (they were the training staff)

The ones up here in Tarrant and Dallas county are pretty good, but it is not uncommon to get bad service at one, especially the one across the street from Six Flags.

Seriously man... Cheddars is the ****. Good food for cheap prices. The best part about it is the 26 ounce margaritas for $6.50. I'd recommend it.

Overly large (even huge) portions for affordable prices. Food is OK, not great, not real bad. Great solution for families on a budget, wife and I split a dinner, had plenty of food. Wait staff is real hit and miss, overall if you're lookin' for lots of food at reasonable price it's great, but great food it ain't...
