Does anyone here have this designation? How sought after is this designation compared to the CFA? More/Less/ About the same in difficulty to obtain?

Never heard of it but looks like a CFA lite and a mail in designation. Two exams one for 4 hours and one for 3.5 looks pretty easy.

Prerequisites are a joke.
* Bachelor's or equivalent degree and more than one year of business experience in the financial industry, or
* 4 years of experience in the financial industry

yea, that was kind of my impression. I know a guy that is pursuing the CAIA, and thinks it'll be his ticket. But, given that I had never heared of it and that Ive never seen it as a job requiremnet/ desirable...made be me really question its relevence. Id guess if you could pass the CFA you could pass the CAIA, but not necessarily the other way around.

I work for a hedge fund. CFA is the gold standard. I've never even heard of the other. Employers also place a great deal of value on the ethical focus and standards incorporated in the CFA program.

I'm taking L3 of the CFA this May 31st and the first thing I want to do if I pass is violate every code and ******* standard in the books. Those people that make this test are f'ing ******** to the nth degree.

After all is said and done in my life passing L2 might be the crown jewel of my career.
