For most in the football coaching fraternity, getting a DC gig in the SEC would be pretty nice career aspiration. I'm not sure a guy who has had a successful head coaching stop at Louisville and a $10 million settlement in his pocket would want a job at Mississippi. NCAA investigators circling a smelly mess where there have been public statements indicating athletes and families are getting paid. Of course it is the SEC and we have seen with Cam Newton and Johnny Football, evidence can be explained away after everybody has lawyered up.
 
The compensation needs to be "reasonable" or the school can go to court to have the amount paid Strong to be reduced by what would be considered "usual and customary".

And only the geniuses in Belmont would try to make a deal like that and let it go to court and hang over the program through the season. :facepalm:
 
I meant to type 100K bucks a year, but after the last 3 yrs some might say that's reasonable compensation.
